CfP – Higher Education Institutional Research Network (HEIR 2018)

The HEIR conference brings together a community of higher education professionals with an interest in using or providing information and analysis to inform institutional planning, policy formation and decision-making. Their roles often encompass institutional data and research that is used to inform HEI decision-making in the areas of strategic planning, teaching and learning, quality, institutional performance and institutional effectiveness.

We anticipate approx. 150 delegates from the UK, Ireland and a growing international presence. The HEIR Planning Group is busy engaging international keynote speakers aligned to our conference tracks and are excited about announcing these in early March.

  • Theme: ‚The changing landscape of Higher Education: challenges and opportunities for institutional research‘
  • Location: RCSI, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2, Ireland

We are delighted to announce our call for abstracts for HEIR 2018 which is taking place at theRoyal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st September 2018. The theme this year is “the Changing Landscape of Higher Education – Challenges and Opportunities for Institutional Research”.

The conference theme will be explored through four conference tracks:

  • Technology, big data and the future of higher education
  • Measuring and driving institutional performance and institutional reputation
  • Students of the future
  • Policy and engagement

Call for papers

We are delighted to open the call for papers, and welcome abstract submissions from a wide range of higher education backgrounds, including; senior management, institutional researchers, planners, educational developers, pedagogic researchers, professional/managerial service colleagues and students.  The deadline for submission of abstracts to the conference is 20th April 2018.

Early bird registration opens on Wednesday 14th March. We look forward to receiving your abstracts.
